The master brewer at The Brewing Company (TBC) would like to predict the annual

sales of beers that are brewed at TBC. He has collected data on the ounces of hops

used /keg of beer, pounds of malt used /keg of beer, annual advertising expenditures in

dollars, bitterness rating of the beer (1-10, with 10 being the most bitter) and initial

investment in equipment for producing the beer in million dollars. His analyst ran a

multiple linear regression using the five factors as independent variables. The Table

below shows part of the summary statistics and the regression output.
