Now what I would like to do is for you to create a field event results application in python. I plan on having a raspberry pi with a 7inch touch screen monitor. So for example a track official will be monitoring and recording the results for each athletes attempt. Whether it is a vertical event (high jump,pole vault) or a horizontal event (long jump,shot-put,etc..). the program gui should look like the attached pdf files. the program will need to be able to import a text file which contains the athletes and events that they are competing in. the program will have to only import the field events, the text file also has the running events which we don't want imported. the official will need to select the field event that he is working. and record the mark/result for each attempt by the athlete. when all athletes have finished, we need to be able to display the results. We also need save the results in a specific format so that the track meet manager software can import them. We would like to be able to save it to a thumb drive and also save it to a folder on the network. The file that we will import into the python program is lynx.evt. The result file that we will save is a .lff text file. I have attached examples of each file. the [login to view URL] file is just a file of all of the athletes that are competing.
