Automating scripts on python to automate processes done manually

I need to write multiple cronjobs scripts to automate manual tasks required to pull data for evidence compliance from various data sources such as (Jira, Confluence, Splunk etc). All data sources are accessed by web browser. I have listed two very high level description of what one of the script would need to do.

Here are two examples listed below at a high level.

Example- cron job would run at the 1st of the month (March):

Connect to Splunk (I am assuming using API since its web-based, web url)

Search alerts based on criteria "xyz alerts" for previous month (Feb 1-28)

Export into csv

Save file into gDrive folder xyz or upload file to abcd

Another example:

Cronjob would run at set date start of compliance assessment

Connect to Jira (API assumption again)

Pull security issue dashboard

filter by prefix of ABCD(currentyear- 2020)

Export pdf/ image capture

Save file into gdrive folder xyz
