The Citizens Campaign has developed a dynamic 21st Century Civic Infrastructure that trains citizens to be informed participants in government decision making and offer them an attractive opportunity to engage in public service in a no-blame, solutions-focused environment with members of their own community (see attached investors proposal). We seek a web development and design firm with strong marketing capabilities to create a state-of-the-art online Civic Trust Portal that will make these civic power trainings and this solutions-focused public service opportunity available on a nationwide basis. The Civic Trust Portal will contain educational functionality for our high school Solutions Civics program and for our college and community-based Power Civics training. Of equal importance, it will facilitate the organizing and operation of Civic Trusts (both online and offline) that offer citizens the opportunity to serve as Civic Trustees trained and pledged to work with their fellow Civic Trustees in no-blame problem-solving sessions. Among the resources to host will be: textbooks, video classes, a solutions-sharing platform, an expert support app and a Civic Trustee alumni platform. The chosen vendor will be viewed as a strategic partner for the duration of the contract. Our expectation is that the work scope will include design, development, user acceptance testing, implementation, and documentation. Ideally, the vendor will have knowledge and demonstrated expertise in the following areas: design, web architecture, backend infrastructure.
