I'm the illustrator and author of 1985 + 1987, a graphic novel series based on my experiences as a teenage graffiti writer in Santa Cruz California. The book is heavily location based, and I'm looking to offer the book online as points on a Google Map, along with other imagery/ media that are specific to that location.
We would need some sort of CMS ( content management system) in order to manage and update this, which is why I'd suggest a WordPress developer this for project.

This project breaks down into four parts:
1. The map itself. This entails a Google Map display with 'markers' on the map indicating media. This map will also have a temporal aspect in that a navigation will allow you to browse by year (see 1985_MAP_SCREEN1.5.jpg)
2. The media overlay. When map markers are clicked, this will include not only comic pages from that location, but also media/ videos/ imagery etc. (see 1985_MAP_SCREEN3.jpg)
3. The Featured column. This is a column on the left hand side that will feature posts, new media, etc. Much like a blog post, the 'Featured Column' is intended to highlight new additions to the map, but also relevant news ( see 1985_MAP_SCREEN5.jpg, 1985_MAP_SCREEN2.jpg)
4. The CMS. This is the management system that will need to be created in order to manage and file this media on the map. It's been recommended that WordPress would be a good option for this.
