Integrate Facebook API

I have a Joomla! component that I would like to integrate auto-posting to Facebook, using the Facebook API. The component is a Real Estate component, and what I would like to have is have new listings that are added to their website (in the component) auto-post to either their facebook timeline, or a Facebook page (by using their Page ID).
This would likely be best done as, I'm thinking, a site (frontend) controller, that could be run via cron. This is due to listings being able to be manually entered, or listings may be inserted by import, or by custom integration I am working on with their local MLS.
I will be adding field in the component config (Joomla! parameters for the component) for the app id, app secret, and page id. Page ID will only show if, from a radio button, they select page instead of timeline.
