Modify the built-in wordpress feed

Categories in wordpress use both a 'name' and a 'slug'
Currently the built-in Wordpress Feed is using the category 'name' under every post in the feed category field. I want it to be using the 'slug' of each category instead of the 'name'.
<category><![CDATA[name]]></category> ==> <category><![CDATA[slug]]></category>
