Excel Macro Programming - Summarizing Contents of Multiple Workbooks

We have several Excel workbooks (separate .XLS files), each of which contains the work-cases of a given help desk employee for the current work day. The individual Excel worksheet is comprised of the type (e-mail cases or web cases) and number of help desk cases completed by the help desk employee for the day. These Excel files are identical in terms of column and row formatting of the data, though (obviously) the data--i.e., the individual work cases--vary between help desk employees. The total number of both email and web cases in the given day's worksheet is summarized in the XLS file itself using ordinary Excel formulations (please see several sample work sheets in attached file). To summarize the help desk's overall work on a weekly basis, the help desk employee submits via email attachment, the cases he has completed for the day to the help desk manager. Currently, the process of summarizing it involves the manager manually opening up each employee's daily web/email case .XLS file, copying the given employee's daily total number of cases for each case type (either web or email), and pasting that value into the week's summary sheet (included in ZIP attachment). The goal of this project is to have this occur automatically using a macro or other suitable programming tool. There are multiple ways to accomplish this, and I am open to exploring the options and selecting the best method. P.S. I am currently writing this from a location where I do not have access to the sample Excel files, as mentioned above. I will be sure to upload them later today. P.S.S. I have now uploaded the sample XLS files. I just made up some values for the individual help desk employees for the week of Feb. 12-16, but the daily worksheets look exactly as the ones I included, as does the summary sheet (which is a summary for the month, not the week, by the way).
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
