PHPBB Plus conversion to PHPBB3

My website [url removed, login to view] currently uses PHPBB Plus v1.5.3 from [url removed, login to view] together with a major mod called PHPBB Garage from [url removed, login to view] I have also made some minor customisations to both products. It's design uses the fiSubSilver template with a wrapper created from the DAJ Glass template. It has been running successfully in this configuration for about three years.

I want to convert the site to use PHPBB3 with a PHPBB3 Portal front end and PHPBB Garage v2.0 with portal and forum integration. I also need a working events calendar with portal integration.

I have run a successful test conversion of the forums at [url removed, login to view] but have not been able to convert the design, or get the PHPBB3 version of PHPBB Garage working with data conversion on the site, so I need expert help. Although the Garage product was only ever released in beta form, it is known to work on a number of websites ... it's just beyond my expertise.

I am really only interested in hearing from developers who know their way around these kinds of products and have a track record in this area. The site is a "not-for-profit" with a very limited income stream, so I cannot afford a large fee.
