Magento landingpage shortcode help

We need to create a landingpage/CMS page with some magento shortcode to sort some products. We would like this to be a template we can turn on/off for any landingpage/CMS page we would like to sort products on.
example: [url removed, login to view]
- This is my CMs page where I want to sort products by category and ID. This page design needs minor fix:
1. Remove compare text
2. Make layout same as: [url removed, login to view]
3. Add a image background and a CMS block with text, see attached screenshots
