We have been contracted to develop a simple iphone application, database and web based interface (see pdf attachment).
The application is a booking tool for existing customers of a utility company. They will use the application on site to request bookings for certain pre-ordered services.
The users will need to be provided with login id and passwords by the company as the application is for a closed group of users and will be of no use to non-customers. This login and password should be used just the first time the application is launched and then it should save this info and should not need to be re-entered.
The application will need to capture the information input by the user such as order type and address and requested date of service, and add this to the database.
The customers request will be reviewed by company staff, possibly modified and then the order will be confirmed. The customer will need to be able to make these simple edits and changes to the database.
Once an order is confirmed the users phone will update the order status and alert them of this change. Once an order has been completed again this will be updated in the database by the company and will need to update on the users phone.
We would like to have the system testing in early September and will be happy to agree staged payments for the successful bidder.
