This might just be version 1 and further work will come out of this if the project is successful.
New website for hosting a "dash board style" statistical and financial charts.
The charts will be selected from a list of pre-designed charts in a library, then placed into the dashboard screen, so that users have an individual customized dashboard for their specific requirements.
At the bottom of the dashboard will be a TIME SLIDER that allow the the charts within the dashboard to update depending on the position of the time slider.
This give the user the ability to see all the charts as at a specific date in time (past date).
Then use the slider to move back to the current time.
This time slider will be extremely useful for checking how the data looked when compared with today's information.
I software language does not have to be Java / Adobe Flash, but needs to be fast to react when charting a lot of data at the same time and the selection criteria (Data / Time) is moving rapidly with a TIME SLIDER controlling multiple charts.
The website will require all standard navigation. Home page, About us, Sign Up. User login, Tools, News, Chart Finder and Dashboard Creator / Editor / Viewer.
The dashboard screen will have [ + Insert Chart Here ] zones.
You can find a chart from the library and insert.
Then you can move the charts around the dashboard so that you fill the screen with 4, 5 , 8, 10 charts as the user requires.
At the bottom of the screen (floating and always visible) is the time slider.
This is horizontal and stretches the width of the screen. It has a indicator currently showing today's date (data date) and it can be slid left to go back in time to another data date. All the charts on the screen react to the time slider and each chart shows data as at the data date indicated on the time slider.
The charts will all be either Bar Charts or Line Charts (Financial)
Using the latest modern technology and the look will be modern and visually appealing.
Use HTML5 where possible.
This project will be ongoing, and make take several months to get correct.
Deliverable will include Working Website and all software code.
Communication will be via messenger / skype .etc.
Work will be fun and part of a project that will be creating new technology.
