I am looking for a knowledgeable freelancer who can create a comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM) in Excel that will help streamline our inventory management, specifically focusing on raw materials, finished products, and various components. This BOM will be a vital tool for managing our stock efficiently, helping to avoid overstocking or stockouts, and ensuring that we maintain a cost-effective operation.
**Key Requirements:**
- **Item Details:** I need the BOM to include multiple layers of item categorization, such as Item Category, Sub Category, and precise Item Name. Additionally, it’s crucial to track each item's Expiry Date and Batch Number to ensure product quality and compliance with regulations.
- **Calculations and Formulas:** The excel sheet must include formulas for Cost Calculation, Quantity Calculation, and Total Calculation to allow for real-time inventory valuation and planning. Furthermore, it should have functionality to alert us when items are nearing their expiry dates and when stock levels fall below minimum order levels to prevent stockouts and obsolescence.
**Ideal Skills and Experience:**
- Proficient in Excel: Advanced knowledge of Excel formulas, data validation, and conditional formatting.
- Inventory Management Experience: Previous experience in creating inventory management tools or BOMs, especially in environments handling a wide range of items.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously include detailed item categorization while ensuring all calculations are accurate and alerts are correctly set up.
