Let me explain the situation.
So far, we have a software, where a specific dll file could be edited and the name of the software license owner can be changed.
Then there is second file, license file, which has expiry date (generally 3-6 months).
So, once license file expires, we have to get license file and we can use the above arrangement.
Now, software manufacturer may have made changes so license file details override the details in dll file. So name of the owner of the license comes as in the license and not as what written in dll file.
Dll file is readable. lic is obfuscated or encrypted.
Solution -
a) Old license file could be modified so that it's expiry date could be change to 01-01-2030 or something in very distant future.
OR
b) Work on new license file or dll file or both so that owner of license is editable and we like to put.
Any of the above 2 are fair solution. However, solution a is highly desirable.
