Custome VB (Access 2000) Migration to Current Version

We have a custom application written in MS Access 2000 (VB 6.5) and using MS Access also as the back-end DB. We would like to move the application to a current version of MS Access and potentially move the data to MSSQL 2008 (currently using or other applications). Between VB 6.5 and more current versions of VB, the certain code constructs have changed which necessitates the need for a developer skilled in VB to make the necessary changes.
