This project is to create a Book Catalog web app using GAE and information in an existing GAE data store.
The book catalog will be published using the OPDS format, which is an Atom/XML based standard for creating hierarchical book catalogs. There is no HTML/CSS/JS required for this project.
The catalog app will be implemented using Google App Engine and Python 2.7.
A detailed spec describing the requirements for the project is available.
Your job will be to:
1) Review the spec and propose design approach.
2) Update the spec with the design details.
3) Implement the service
4) Provide a test suite to validate that the service works as expected.
Experience using Python to develop Google App Engine services using the GAE data store is required. Experience with XML/Atom/OPDS nice to have.
This project will implement a minimal slice of the catalog. A follow-on project will expand and flesh-out the catalog.
