Custom PHP WordPress login/registration process needed

Hey people,
I need someone to design the server side code (i.e. the PHP) for a custom WordPress login/registration script which can be used with our current, custom made booking system.
The background:
Currently the site (a travel business) uses a custom made booking page (which is not within the theme being used), where a users fills out information about themselves & the holiday which they would like to book. This information is then posted to the next page, along with the users' WordPress details, and entered into a MySQL database where the users's WordPress data (their user ID and email) are linked to the booking they have made.
The problem:
Currently a user has to be logged in to be able to view the custom booking page, which means when they try and book, they are redirected to WordPress's standard login/registration page which looks crap, and adds an unwanted step to the process. The custom booking page needs to be visible to all users, and the WordPress login/registration process needs to be combined into this page to make the overall booking process seamless.
What is needed:
The user should be able to fill out the form on the booking page with details of their holiday, and at the bottom of the form, enter their desired WordPress login/registration details (depending on if they have already registered or not). After submitting the form, the user should automatically be registered or logged in, and their WordPress ID and Email address made available as variables in PHP (ready to be entered into the database with the rest of their form data).
Note
- A POST variable will be passed with the users's booking info which distinguishes between if a user is registering for the first time or logging back in (this should make things simpler in the PHP)
- There should be the normal WordPress validation to prevent a user registering twice, picking a username which already exists etc
- What is not needed
The front end code: I don't need any front end stuff doing, or any parts of the form designing, just the PHP to get a user registered or logged in. I will also provide the front end validation (making sure pw's are entered, and that both pw's match when registering etc)
