Step 1 - Extend the api

This is an api for the site [url removed, login to view] which uses magento.

extend the mageno "core-api" (attached) with custom variables as explained in custom-api (attached):

The variables to be add are found in an existing magento database where we have added about three tables. There are probably 25 variables.

Step 2 - create a magento module

use best practices such as

"custom_module_with_custom_database_table" (attached)

Step 3 - install magento module from from the admin of a test magento install

The api will be used by a magneto module. Installations of magento will display a custom report in the admin.

The module will pull data from the [url removed, login to view] api which allows user to manage their google/msn pay per click advertising. Rather than logging into antvisit to see graphs and data (which already works), they can view the reports antvisit creates within their installation of magento under reports tab.

For example, I sell shoes with an ecommerce magento store. I also advertise my ecommerce store with google/yahoo/facebook. I want to check the success of my advertising without logging into all three sites. I create an [url removed, login to view] account to aggregate my advertising data (this is complete). I then install the antvisit magento module which creates a report inside my magento admin.
