Convert uploaded videos to Flash, Custom Flash Player

This is for an established, popular free hosting service with over a quarter million users.

Step 1. Convert video (and possibly music) files uploaded by users to a flash-playable format upon upload. This would likely be triggered by an ASP script, but preferably would run outside of the uploading web request, as to not tie up the IIS server. All typical video and music formats should be supported.

The converted file is to be stored in the same location as the originally uploaded file.

A thumbnail of the video, stored in the same directory with a filename like [login to view URL] would be nice.

Step 2. We need a custom flash video/music player, with customizable params for object width, height, color, possibly control style (either use internal defaults or specify a URL to a web address which would contain alternate graphics for controls). This player will be used to play the converted content from step 1.

The player needs to have a welcome message before starting the video - "video hosting by [login to view URL]" for example, which would have a "click here to play" graphic, and have a target area clickable through to our site - "Click here to host your own videos" for example.

The player needs to be lightweight, and we may need a couple different versions of it, branded for our different hosting services.
