<Overview>
Please collect product information on vehicles that have or will have the technologies described in the “Technology Description” section below.

<Technology Description>
This technology is used to properly perform software updates on vehicles with OTA technology (that is a technology transmitting and receiving data via wireless communication).
In OTA software updates on the vehicle, it is necessary to obtain the user's approval before updating the software. One of the problems that can be anticipated when a portable information terminal (e.g., smartphone) is used to obtain the user’s approval is that software updates will continue to be executed even if the connection between the information terminal and the vehicle is disconnected after user’s approval has been obtained. This may cause, for example, when the driver of the vehicle is replaced, the software update may be executed without the latter driver's knowledge of the software update.
To solve this problem, this technology restricts the processing of software updates when there is a communication breakdown between the vehicle and the information terminal through which the user’s approval for the software update was obtained. Please search for this technology in this contest.
