Contest Brief

GENERAL - I am looking for a piece (1) of art that showcases your artistic style. I am looking for an artist for a larger project and would like to find someone whose style I like.

BACKGROUND - I am making a Role Playing Game that is viking themed. The end product will be a PDF containing the rules. I would like to eventually have a piece of art in multiple sections. Probably one for each playable class and race as well as a few others scattered around.

The setting for this game is after the events of Ragnarok. Ragnarok is the final battle between the Gods and it essentially wipes them out. Now is the age of men, beasts, and rune weaving (magic). Their lore is similar to our own knowledge of Norse Mythology.

The game will be heavily themed around the symbiotic relationship that exists between man and beast. Some beasts have been woven from the magical essence of the land and are larger sentient versions of their feral counter parts. A good example is that men have worked out a deal with large sentient moths so that they could use them as armored steeds.

Current beasts that I am planning on using and some words that describe them.
Wolves: Fierce, Loyal
Elk: Majestic, Regal, Wise
Bears: Sturdy, Powerful
Boar: Stubborn
Goats/Rams: Aggressive
Ravens: Cunning, Intelligent
Snake/Wyrms/Serpents: Deceptive, Shadows

WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR - I would like 1 image of a viking in a scene with a beast. They could be allies working together or they could be enemies fighting each other. I would like them to be in dynamic poses so the scene tells a story. I do not like static poses like you see in portraits. I would prefer to stay away from horned viking armor. I would prefer more realistic looking than cartoon looking. An action scene or something badass. I would like the end result to be in jpg or png form so I can easily add it to documents.

I have attached some samples of art that I enjoy for reference. I tend to like the monochrome or grey scale artwork a bit better. I don't might a little color here or there.

Hey Jonas, good questions. I updated the description. The final product just needs to be a png or jpg for I can add it into a document easily. I am not going to modify it. Does that answer the question?

I tend to prefer monochrome or greyscale or just a bit of color to highlight something.
