Contest Brief

Create an illustration of a young penguin, in a style that is a similar style to the Gruffalo drawings (attached file). It’s important that the illustration captures, the character and conveys the emotion of gratitude. The viewer should feel like the illustration says “Thank you, I appreciate what you did for me”
The character is approachable. The viewer should have an instant likeability, or affinity, for the character.
The character is playful. The viewer should get a sense of playfulness and fun when viewing the character. Like the Gruffalo, the character should have a quirky, but loveable, edge
The character is a mix of traditional (as conveyed by the ink sketch style of illustration) and vibrant (as conveyed by the colour palette). The character should incorporate an element of magenta, black and white (see attached). Feel free to incorporate other colors too.
The character is holding a gift box (see attached). The image is on a clear background.
