Contest Brief

Hi. We wrote a children's book, and we're looking for a dope artist to illustrate it for us. This contest is to find that illustrator. We want to get this character designed to get an idea of your illustration style:

Kat Burgler - An athletic, slender and intelligent grey female Korat with one bright green eye, and one pale blue eye. Before her recent retirement, she was a master thief with a deft touch. Her specialty is infiltration, and thus, avoiding detection whenever possible. While her instinct is to avoid confrontation, she is a skillful, controlled and dexterous fighter. A capable improviser, she can think quickly and escape nimbly.

Essentially, she is a hyper-capable mixture of François Toulour (The Night Fox from Ocean's 12), Neo (from the Matrix minus the un-reality) and James Bond straightening his jacket after a fight.

We don't want Kat to be wearing clothes (no clothes on animals in the world that we create for the book).

The illustration must be in Illustrator Adobe ?,or acceptable in other programs,like Photoshop or Art Rage?What about hand drawed aquarel,pastel,oil etc.?

  Hi! Thanks for the question. Any format is OK. The final product must, obviously, be digital, but a high quality scan of hand done art will work.

Hello. I am very interested in your project.
Do you have some references to share with us ? Since illustration is so broad, it would help to see some 'styleguides'.
I see you want a modern design, but can you detail it a little further ?
Would you prefer digital painting, vector design, an expressive watercolour perhaps? Since it is not guaranteed it would be good to narrow down some options and work in a direction that would be beneficial for both of us. Best Regards

No #guaranteed for this project??? Does it mean you won't pay even you have seen some work you want? I have seen too many CH asked for free work and stole the work and just ruuuuun away.... lol.... It's also a big decision for us to decide work for free or not. Good luck!

  If we love something, we will buy it. We have a good reputation on Freelancer and we've never, nor would we ever, steal anything. You should be paid for your good work, and if we love something, we will happily pay. We've been stuck with terrible stuff we hated on guaranteed contests, so we don;t want to have that happen again.
