Contest Brief
We need a friendly GUI interface for controlling a 3D printer. The printer has a 10.6" touch screen. We are looking for a minimalist design with data presented graphically where possible, so that the function is clear even to a new user. The color scheme should be white/gray/black with some red.
A user interface GUI buttons/images
3D printers create a physical object from a digital file by building it up in a series of layers. The object being created is called the model. The raw material is a powder, either finely ground-up metal or plastic. In this type of printer, a laser is used to fuse the powder together to form the solid model.
The attached pic (monitor-3d.jpg) is what we want to improve (colors, location, buttons, arrows etc.).
