Contest Brief

Please read below -- this contest is very specific.

We have two businesses: CruisePlus & DestinationsPlus.

DestinationsPlus: Sells land based products (all inclusive resorts, 5 star hosted tours, african safaris etc)

We need to have a simple logo for DestinationsPlus designed.
-- Include elements from the CruisePlus logo (e.g. bottom wave, background sun) to show the companies are affiliated
-- The logo must be scalable vector EPS + AI that can be exported at 300 DPI JPEG for print
-- The logo must look great in grayscale
-- Fonts used must be indicated
-- This should be a professional looking logo.

  All the top logos get ranked up to four stars by myself. After that they get reviewed by my staff and those chosen move up to 5 stars. Three logos are now rated five stars

I have a doubt, from the choices you're ranking with 5 stars...
How much do you want your brands to be related, formally and graphically? Do you want them to work as a system, like two business units of the same company? Or they may seem like they are two completely separate companies? Thanks!

  I'm even more confused! I was expecting the answer to be that it's really not important that the two logos be recognizable as from the same company, because the top-rated ones are nothing like your cruise logo. But you still say that they should (I think). Are you considering changing the cruise logo?

  We may change the cruise logo if we find something we like. Most artists have incorporated the sun and the wave elements from the cruise logo.

  As per the instructions, the logo is not for cruise products but land based products. For instance, all inclusive resorts, bus tours, hotels etc
