Contest Brief

I am looking for someone to design a logo incorporating our new company named ‘Marine Bio-products and Biotechnology CRC (abbreviated MBB-CRC). The company seeks to develop technologies for bioresource cultivation and processing to develop nutraceuticals, functional foods, cosmeceuticals, animal feeds and health products derived from the sea. We wish to convey this somehow in a logo where the word ‘MBB-CRC’ is dominant. The logo should be simple, evoke the marine focus and at the same time give a sense of our serious purpose of generating products along the lines we have described and which can be trusted. We would like versions with both the abbreviated and full name.

    Hi All,
    To get things moving in the right direction, I thought I provide some public feedback. The MBB-CRC is not about boating, so please stay clear of steering wheels and boats. The MBB-CRC is also not about iconic marine creatures, such as dolphins, whales nor does it relate to fishing. So please stay clear of creating such designs.
    Rather, the MBB-CRC is focussed on producing renewable high value products for the nutraceutical, cosmeceutical, functional food, functional ingredients and novel animal and aquaculture feeds from marine bioresources, e.g. macro- and microalgae, seacucumber and other low order marine animals and waste associated with the processing of marine fish , shrimp etc.. So the bioresource range will be hard to capture in a logo, likewise the product range will be difficult to use as a focus. I hope this will help to direct your creativity to the right focus of the company.
