Contest Brief

NOTE: Please don't waste my time - or yours - by not reading my brief fully. I want a CUSTOM individually created logo. ANYTHING GENERIC WILL BE REJECTED. I have received some shockingly poor entries so far - come on guys...where are the skilled designers hiding? I do not want you to use the reference photo - it's to show what I look like only.

I'm developing some new branding for my Wedding Photography Business, stage one is a new logo!

I'm looking for the logo to be based on a geometric interpretation of a candid portrait of me 'in action' with my camera in hand. Then the company name 'Sean Wood Photography'.

The logo can be just an outline interpretation of me - closely shaved head, short beard/long stubble wearing a shirt with my 'braces' style camera straps. Just waist up holding a camera. You can see what I mean in the attached image! I'm looking for a 'hipster' feel. Open for suggestions on the font for the company name. MUST BE MODERN AND FRESH. Feel free to play with some ideas.

The key is that it's recognisable as me if I were to stand me next to it with a camera in hand!

Three colours, with main colour being : Web #32C4F0, then two complementary colours. Although I'm open to other ideas here as I'm happy to include a refreshed colour palette as part of the rebranding.

Deliverables will be a Vector, with TIFFs in various sizes for socials. Full copyright on payment.

Ideas on what I'm looking for when I say geometric here: https://society6.com/manou/s?q=popular+prints although I appreciate it may need to be a more simple design to be usable as a logo.

In looking to use this initial project to establish relationships with trusted designers to then work with me on creating the rest of the brand, and implementing on my Website and Social Media platform. Will also look for support with launch based advertising campaign.

Thanks

Guys - lots of you are getting your knickers in a twist here. The winning entrant is not from a 'scam' profile at all, it's from a trusted colleague who asked to compete as a freelancer to work on this design. They have paid their fees to Freelancer, and I have paid mine along with the prize money to the winning design as agreed.
Here's why.... the standard of work I am receiving here is terrible. 80% of entrants have not even considered the brief, and the rest have taken a really poor cut out of the sample image I have added for reference and tried to create something from that. I could do this in 30 seconds - it's so lazy an un-original that it shocks me that you believe this is worth £100?

If my colleague wants to work on this project on a freelance basis, set up an account and submit a design - it is entirely my decision if I award the prize money to them. If the designs here were of a high standard, I would happily have selected one to work with. Please rest assured that none of your designs would ever be used without your permission – they do not fulfil the brief. Fees paid, prize money awarded to a designer and a winner has been picked, based on what I have said above, there is simply no need for frustrated comments here. If you had followed the brief, and produced quality work - I would have happily have selected your design. What else could I possibly have to gain otherwise!

Not one person has offered a design in a similar style to the reference link that I included in the brief. A one off, hand created elegant work of geometric art is what I hoped for, what I received I could have scribbled on a I Pad. The logo is the heart of a brand, and I wouldn't dream of using any of these designs for such an important project. Before moaning like the world owes you something - take a long hard look at the standard of work you are offering up here in relation to the brief.
I trust the winner to take some care over this project and have confidence that they are worth the money. I'm not even attempting to hide the fact that I know winner - and I have been very open with Freelancer in how disillusioned I have been with this whole experience - and I will continue to be open with them should they wish to discuss this with me.

Its obvious that the winning design is a dummy because it is the last design submitted and automatically won the price. In short, the contest holder waits for the dummy account to upload the design and voala! WIN! no designs following the winning entry.

This is a scam contest and please, withdraw all your designs. It might be used without your permissions. The winning freelancers just join December 20, 2017. It is a dummy account to get back their money.

this site is full of cheating "designers" and to stop it, you must reject the wrong entries, provide comments and rate the good ones, I lost my time working and you closed the contest before time, we all lose...
