Contest Brief

I need a cover design for selling my book on Amazon and other outlets. I need a cover that adapts for a 6x9 paperback, an ebook design and maybe a hardcover design. Specifications are on Amazon's KDP Jumpstart guide.
I have the text and some photos to work with. I like a reduced opacity dream like feel for two or more photos. I also want either other images or words to indicate memories on the cover. The book is a guided course on writing your life stories and family history for your grandchildren. I think this project requires Photoshop experience. I see the cover as a layered image. Central would be Karen(me) reading to Emmett but the Poetry book cover altered to read something like "My Family History". Then either words or images sort of floating up either out of the book or around us reading. The other images are just options. Don't use all. Ignor the text on Mock up cover and use this text instead on the back cover:
Grandlore is a unique guided writing course enabling you to preserve not only your life experiences, but also your feelings, lessons learned, and advice for your children, grandchildren and beyond. Everyone has stories worth sharing. Future generations can use genealogy searches to find who, when and where but your stories are the only way your relatives can learn why, how, what you felt and get your advice.
Sharing your experiences in this manner gives the next generations a better perspective when they encounter difficult moments in their lives. Youth has the disadvantage of lack of experience in how to handle tough situations. Seeing how you overcame adversity gives them hope when they lose their first love, find themselves in a toxic work environment or a friend turns against them. These problems are the root cause of an increase in suicide among youth. Sharing how you handled situations like those and the happier moments that followed in your life will help them see beyond their immediate pain and let them know better times are ahead. There is no greater gift you can give them.
Text on the Front Cover should not be like the Mockup but instead should read:

Preserve Your Life Experiences

There should not be text on the spine as the book is only 50 pages.
I have lots of alternate images if you have any suggestions, I send you more. All photos were taken by me or an immediate family member. I only want my photos used.

Reread the instructions. Blended images with reduced opacity, if showing a book in the image change that to not show the actual book but alter it to read something like "My Family History" or "My Life Stories". Add other images or words as if rising from the pages of the book. Yes, I want an image or layered images on the back as well. .
