Contest Brief

We are a non profit starting in Shreveport, Louisiana. We are using the arts as a form of therapy for victims of sexual assault and abuse. The name of the organization is The Teal Rose Foundation. Teal is the color for sexual assault awareness, and the rose serves 2 purposes. The rose as a flower grows beautiful, but wouldnt be a rose without the thorns (sexual assault, trauma). The rose as a directional compass expresses a guide, or something to provide direction to a journey. We serve all groups, men and women, alike. Shreveport has a rose that is a coral rose...Im not set on that color of rose, but I am open to it.
