Build me a Logo

Contest Brief

We are a tech start-up which will provide user-defined flexible work systems (forms/surveys/spreadsheets, task tracking, project tracking, portfolio management, etc). It will be called "Work Dimensions" and we need to design a static Logo as well as a short GIF animated version of the same Logo.
Initial idea is to represent a sort of cylindrical funnel (like a tornado, but not thinning out at the bottom) as a representation of all available data, and it would be "cut through" by various planes (horizontal, vertical, sloping) which would represent the various "Dimensions" of the views that are users can create of all this data with our system. The animated GIF would actually "pull out' one of these planes and shift it to show the viewer an illustration of an information tool (a multi-colored spreadsheet/diagramme type view).
