Contest Brief

The primary purpose of the development is to create a residential 'community' that is sustainable and integrates with the natural environment. Total land area is 116,070 m2 (28.70 acres). We want to develop a small community plan with 11 acreages (properties), each property has at least 2.5 acre, the rest area is for access road, walk/bike trails and common shared areas. We want to include raw wood cabin houses (in different layout) in each property (11 wood cabin houses in total, they need to be in different layout). Other features we want to incorporate into the plan include:

- private access road to 11 properties (refer to sample road and area plan: access road in the middle (9 meter width, surrounded by 11 sub-division lands, private road from access road to property (6 meter width)
- raw wood houses (in different style, different designs) in each land
- landscaping design for each house
- a few houses may have artificial ponds
- community shared bike / walk trail, small common shared area with: kids play area, gazebo for shared use
- remove most trees (from north) to have spaces for the houses. Plant some tress to the lower south area. Please consider it's located in Western Canada (for the plants use), not tropical area. location code (51.2416860, -116.9298261)

Deliveries:
- Overall 2D Site Plan: A detailed site plan (one page) illustrating the placement of buildings, common areas, and other essential components of the community.
- Landscape Plan: A one-page landscape design that complements the alpine-style architecture and fosters a sense of community among residents.
- Visual Renderings: a few high-quality 3D renderings to show combinations of aerial and from different directions pictures

Of course, the prize money is very low for this job. I meant Canada, not Australia. I confused Canada with Australia because Australian contest holders on this site are predominantly cheapskates.

The Russians have a proverb: "A miser pays twice". The British say “Don't be penny wise and pound foolish” and “Buy cheap, buy twice”. The Americans say “Cheapskates pay twice, gooseys - thrice and the naive - all their life.” I wonder what the analogue of these proverbs are in Australia.
