Hello everyone,
Sorry for being long to reply
We had a lot of really nice proposals, which was longer for us to select the short list.
Finally we selected 6 different logos with the goal to reduce to 2 or 3 as soon as possible.
It is difficult to choose and we are really happy with that :-)

Precision: when we spoke about the Paramount logo, it was more like an image

We have no link with mountains.
It is more to express that white mountains are "a bit like" white flour cone/heap

Some clarification for new designers:

The name of our company is Asahi Seifun
ASAHI = sunrise
SEIFUN = a miller
Our profession is to transform rice in flour.
The writing in Kanji is: 朝日製粉所

(you can find Japanese fonts here: http://www.freejapanesefont.com/tag/kanji/
notice they are different than Chinese ones; so if you have a doubt, use one of the website above)

The logo should be able to support both writings, but not necessary on the same image.
(it is possible to have one picture with European writing and another with Japanese writing)

PLEASE: no more rice plant or rice

And do not hesitate to read carefully the brief: they are websites to have ideas about we look for.

We plan a new meeting tomorrow to debrief and to provide you clearer feedback.

As we received several logos with rice, we would like to ask if you could propose us some different directions.
Maybe working on the flour instead of the rice.
