*Brasco Refrigeration and Air Con (end 2000 to 2003):*

* <font size= "2">Designed and developed the Brasco Marketing Program. This consists of a centralised marketing database that is securely accessed via client-server applications. This application forms a user-friendly interface that allows a project estimator to easily calculate quotes based on the dynamic refrigeration, cabinet, freezer, and cold room requirements. The summaries generated are in the Microsoft Word format.

* The purchasing department has been integrated with the marketing department (allowing a bill of quantities and job tracking report to be generated for any quote).
* <font size= "2">Integrated the stores department with the marketing department.

* IT consulting on a frequent basis, including web page and security consulting.

*IT research at the Rand Afrikaans University (RAU) 2001 to 2003, including the submission of a dissertation (Secure Multimedia Databases) and a research paper. Received the Chancellors Gold Medal for the best Masters research work in the Faculty of Science.
Ongoing practical problem identification and solving at RAU (1997 to 2000), including a team project for the Pilansberg Nature Reserve where we developed a prototype that can be used to simulate and track animals electronically with the aid of a database (publicly displayed at RAU at the Liberty Life Open Day in 1999). Honours subjects included Information Security, WWW Security, Artificial Intelligence, Network Management, Research Methods, Computer Graphics Programming, Robotics, and WWW Technologies.
