English is my native language, and I am very proficient in English grammar and spelling as well as in language skills. I have a B.A. in Psychology from Kenyon College in Ohio, and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Lesley College in Massachusetts. Both degrees required that I compose, type, proofread, and edit numerous multi-page papers as well as a thesis.
I worked as a teacher for twenty-eight years, which required that I proofread and edit student work on a nightly basis to check for errors in spelling, grammar, and sentence structure, as well as to suggest revisions in style and clarity.
While working as a computer teacher for ten years, I created newsletters and yearbooks for the schools where I worked. Later, I worked for the Ipswich Historical Society and created a monthly newsletter for it. I’ve also helped friends create their own websites and blogs, where I got some experience with graphic design. I will work in any of these skill areas on an entry level.
