He was born in October 18th, 1972 in the city of Buenos Aires. Versatile and very inquisitive by nature, Diego is a merger between graphic design and advertising creative.
In 1994 he gets his graphic design degree at the Universidad de Palermo. Collecting all kind of packages was his hobby, which took him to study a postgraduate course in packaging at the Universidad de Palermo getting his degree in 1995. Interested in advertising and other subjects he decided to expand his knowledge at the Asociación Argentina de Agencias de Publicidad getting his degree in 2000. Also, he studied many seminars such as: Ontologic Couching in 2006 lead by Leonardo Cositorto and Fabián Sorrentino at the Universidad de Palermo, Creativity Seminar in 1998 lead by Carlos Baccetti, advertising creative at Agulla y Baccetti at the Asociación Argentina de Agencias de Publicidad and also Cinema and Audio-visual Communication Course in 1993 lead by Eduardo Russo, doctor in psychology at the Centro Cultural Ricardo Rojas and columnist and researcher in audio-visual media.
Diego expanded his knowledge in organizational communication, internal and external communication projects and graphic and digital assignments. At present, he works as graphic designer and advertising creative at the küyen publishing house ([login to view URL]), specialized in publishing projects for children, making publishing pieces for the national and international market.
His agency Ruiz diseño y creatividad ([login to view URL]), specialized in publishing design, advertising and marketing. He works for Cadbury Stani Adams, Gestión Compartida (Grupo Clarín), Ford Argentina, Provincia Seguros, Axa Assistance USA. Previously he worked as Director of Art for different marketing and design agencies designing publishing pieces and campaigns for Coca Cola, Molinos, Mc Donald's, Bank Boston, Metrogas, HSBC among others.
Throughout his career, he participated in many contests obtaining the first mention in the poster design for "Human Development" organized by the United Nations in 1992, another special mention for the design for "Pizzini Portfolio Image" organized by Pizzini in 1992 and also he obtained the first prize poster design for "Women in the art" at the international woman's year, organized by the Embassy of France and Avon (Cosmetic Company) in 1995.
