Writing has always been a part of my life, so much that I cannot remember when I started writing. I have always written, and I began reading at the age of 3. I now run a harm reduction nonprofit, providing overdose prevention and syringe exchange services, but rely on freelancing to pay my bills, as we just started the nonprofit. However, I have been working in harm reduction for more than 5 years and am nationally known for some of my work. I also have a published memoir, detailing my own substance misuse in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, as well as a number of published articles about substance use. I have also been involved in various marketing projects, in which I learned to write a little bit of everything. I have been recruited by several treatment centers because my writing always draws traffic to these websites. I have a degree in Mass Media Communication and Journalism, with a concentration in Photography. I am also skilled with creating promo materials and websites.
