I am originally from Russia. However, I've spent the last five years abroad, working and studying in English. I am used to writing in English academically since I've done multiple assignments for my university. I believe I'm good at translating and adopting text because I'm not only familiar with meanings but with the socio-cultural context (since I've lived in both cultures long enough). I've studied in Gymnasium back in Russia which specialised in languages. It gave me a good sense and understanding of how a decent text looks like. In addition to that, I used to write articles for a school newspaper. I don't have professional experience, but I would like to improve my skills in terms of translating and offer help to everyone attempting to translate to/from Russian.
