## BIO I am a professional programmer providing quality solutions in the software industry for over ten years. I specialize in the Win32 environment. My skills include Visual C++, Delphi, Visual Basic and SQL among others. I have written literally thousands of lines of code in these languages. I have written GUI interfaces, COM classes, OCX and VCL components and entire applications using these tools. I have written some very nice and very complex applications that are in use today throughout the world. My software has been featured in magazines and CDROMs including CIO Magazine, PC World and many Ziff Davis publications. I write professional quality, reusable and maintainable code and produce professional quality products. I provide programming expertise and technical skills to deliver quality products in a timely manner. Types of projects I have worked on include designing and writing entire applications, maintenance and enhancements and conversions. WORK STATUS US I am authorized to work in this country for any employer. EXPERIENCE CACI Chantilly, Virginia Senior Programmer Oversee and participate in new development of a client/server system for the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles. Client application is written in Visual Basic and the server components are written COBOL and executed under CICS on NT servers. Server components maintain data contained in Oracle 8i. · Used VB to create the client interface and to create Active X dll's that comprise the various transactions that make up the overall system. The Active X dll's use Interspace to call the various COBOL transaction server programs through a CICS host. · Used VC++ to create external procedures for Oracle 8i. The external procedures are used to access various third party software through vendor provided API's. · Used VC++ to create a financial transaction host interface used by the point of sale portion of the system. The host interface runs as a service on NT and utilizes pipes and sockets for communications. The host interface accepts credit and debit card transactions from offices statewide and makes requests to a financial institution host. · Provided technical assistance and expertise to junior level programmers. This was especially important in keeping registry problems to a minimum in both the development and test environment. · Troubleshoot, repaired and advised on many problems encountered in both the client and the server components throughout the development and testing phases. The Associates Irving, Texas Senior Programmer Maintained a Visual Basic/SQL Server application for generating various financial reports related to the collection of delinquent accounts. Used VB to create an Active X dll to encapsulate the functionality of Crystal Reports 5.0. This made it possible to use the Crystal Print preview to create true child forms of the MDI parent. This also made it possible to subclass the Crystal print preview window and add a zoom drop down control. Used VC++ to create class based GDI dll?s for generating HTML based reports to be presented in IE based child windows. Used VC++ to create an NT class based application for responding to file system events. This application, generic in nature, is used to await the arrival of several daily feeds by FTP. The application makes use of multithreading and wait states. Using no resources while waiting, the application is notified by the operating system when changes occur. Used Delphi and the Internet Control Pack from Net Masters to implement an HTTP based paging system to send notifications when the daily feed processing started and ended. Used Delphi to create a gui based front end for maintaining the reporting structure of the SQL Server based database. Used Delphi & SQL Server to convert a project management application from VB to Delphi. The application was used to manage project assignments and status and incorporated MS MAPI to auto send emails to key personnel upon the assignment, update and closing of a project. Howell Instruments Fort Worth, Texas Senior Programmer Performed various administrative duties in an NT 4.0 Server/Win95 Client environment. Used SQL Server and Visual Basic to create the following applications: · Tracking Drawings · Tracking Engineering Documents · Tracking Customer/Contacts Converted a Windows 16bit C/SDK application to a 32bit C++ class library. The results of the conversion made it possible to separate the interface components from the computational components. The class library was ultimately used to create a Client/Server application for storing and analyzing data collected from Jet Engine monitor equipment. The modularity achieved by the conversion made it very convenient build OCX files for the client end and GDI applications for the server end. The Client/Server application consisted of the following components: The Server · An FTP Server used for archiving data files. · An HTTP Server used for executing GDI C++ programs and transmitting generated reports as HTML. · A SQL Server database for storing jet engine data. The Client · A Visual Basic MDI application with the following features: · Ability to upload and download data files. · A Custom Graph OCX for viewing data graphically. · Ability to display reports as HTML documents. COMPUTER LANGUAGE RESEARCH Dallas, Texas Programmer/Analyst Design and code modifications to tax application software. The tax application runs under both DOS and WINDOWS. Executables are created with MS Visual C++. Duties also include debugging protection faults and errors that occur under WINDOWS. Accomplishments include resolving intermittent floating point issues. Resolved serious logic errors in the tax compute engine code. Created a class library designed to import data in DIF format into a tax return. The class library was built as a DLL. Created a DLL designed to interface various tax applications to a single Windows application. Designed and coded an application to convert C-Tree database files into MS ACCESS tables.
