Insight Investment

4 week internship with the quant team at Insight Investment, a leading Liability Driven Investment firm, which was offered after a successful work experience week. I conducted research into which methods of building a portfolio could best hedge the PV01 and IE01 risk by programming different methods in Python and conducting extensive backtesting. I worked with the heads of the quant team towards a presentation at the end of my internship demonstrating the rewards and risks of changing.

Insight Investment

I threw myself into this short opportunity and learned a great deal about the industry. My contributions involved creating a program to check the firm's benchmarks were the same as were requested by the client, and helping to create a portfolio optimisation program based on Lasso-regularisation techniques.
