Design and implement an Arithmetic and Logic Unit (ALU). Used the schematic capture feature of Xilinx ISE tool. The ALU performs the following below operations on the values stored in the 4-bit registers R1 and R2. Test the design using two sets of input values and for all possible operations. OP 1: Reset the value of R3 to 0 OP 2: Compare R1 and R2. If R1 > R2, R1 should be stored in R3 else store R2. OP 3: Subtract R1 and R2 and store the result in R3 OP 4: Add R1 and R2 and store the result in R3. Used only one comparator and one add/sub circuit block to perform the above operations. Neglected the carry out for addition and subtraction operation. The control block (CTRL) uses the output of the comparator and the operation select to generate the control signals for the 4 x 4-to-1 multiplexer and the add/sub block.

Maintenance assistant project lead for Hinton James dorm project at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My duties included overseeing two other assistants that worked in our division. In the summer of 2013 Hinton James one of the oldest highrise dorms on campus underwent a full restoration. We had to pull 240 sinks, 120 toilets, 240 light fixtures and many other parts to be replaced. Being the lead assistant my job was to oversee the removal of the old items and separate the items to be recycle
