I graduated from the University of Southampton, and completed my Combined Masters in French and German Linguistic Studies with First Class Honours. During my time at university I spent a year abroad studying at the University of Potsdam in Germany, which improved my German language skills immensely, and also allowed be to build a greater understanding of German culture. The modules I took throughout my time at university were largely focused on translation theory and practice, equipping me with enough translation knowledge and experience to to take on freelance translation work in my fourth year of studying. I am familiar with audiovisual translation, and am comfortable with software like WinCaps, if producing translated subtitles for films and TV programmes is required. I am a meticulous and precise translator, and always ensure that the work I produce is clear, accurate and suitable for its audience and context. I also have experience in proofreading and article writing.
