This research article is about Biogas in Nepal

Biogas technology is a multiuse technology which contributes in improving the economic, health, social and environmental situation of a country. Development and dissemination of the biogas technology undoubtedly reduces the energy scarcity and improve the general public’s status in the energy hierarchy. In Nepal this technology has had a remarkable history. Initiated in the 1980s as a technological research project with a limited number of test models, it was expanded during the 1990s by the Biogas Support Program Nepal (BSP-N) into a very effective market development program with the active participation of the public and private sectors (Bajgain, & Shakya, 2005).
