I am interested in any senior Artificial Intelligence, Programme Management or IT Governance freelance work. I was Senior Manager IT Governance for PricewaterhouseCoopers and reported to the global head of IT Governance in South Africa. I have spent several years at PwC, Deloittes and Ernst & Young. I am a serial entrepreneur and have excellent contacts in the business market in South Africa. I have more than 15 years worth of experience in Banking at Senior level. As Group CIO for BancABC (an international bank in Africa) from 2009 to 2011, I led the bank through significant ICT transformation, moved the data centre to South Africa and migrated the bank to a new core banking system with zero downtime. I have excellent interpersonal skills and led several IT teams in various countries. I am an experienced Group CIO out of primarily the financial services industry but have played a role in several industries such as aviation, Group CTO for one of the largest private BPO's in South Africa and within the retail space. I have a doctorate in Informatics (Expert Systems – Artificial Intelligence) from the University of Johannesburg and own patents which can be used in any industry. “POLC” is a new platform for on-line commerce using big data and true artificial intelligence at its core. My professional career started at PwC as national eCommerce Manager but I also provided consulting services at Deloitte and Ernst & Young for a number of years. As thought leader and innovator I was awarded best IT startup company in 2000 in an event hosted by Deloitte & Touche and First Tuesday. I attended several RSA and international conferences where I was invited as a guest speaker on future transactional systems. In my role as Sr. Manager at PwC, I trained or coached several teams and executives in IT Governance Frameworks across the world. I also lectured as an MBA lecturer at University of Wales as well as the University of Sunderland in Johannesburg. I am very passionate about Artificial Intelligence, IT Strategy and IT Governance. I have. I designed and implemented several open and closed loop financial and payment systems for various institutions abd developed new products for a number of Insurance and banking clients in Africa. I consider myself one of the most experienced PCI DSS programme managers in South Africa having initiated the PCI DSS programme for Barclays (Absa), Standard Bank, Discovery Bank in South Africa and BancABC in Africa.
