A South African small business designer gift company requires a small but professional front end website and a customized e-commerce back end. This will involve selecting a freely available Ecommerce backend to suit the features set out below, customizing the back-end with available scripts and then designing the front page and product pages around the back-end.
An E-commerce site needs to be designed and developed for a designer gift company. The back-end needs to offer functions where customer profiles can be stored, stock levels can be managed, orders can be viewed, calendar dates entered, Products and product sections can be added/removed, CMS on the main pages and customers can login and track their orders. Perhaps something like OsCommerce could be used and tailored to meet the above requirements, please advise in PMB.
The front-end is relatively small containing a main page which displays content from the back-end CMS and displays the product sections from the back-end. A few other pages are required but can all use similar templates. There will be about 4 product sections eventually with 2-4 products in each. Initially only 5 products will be displayed with 3 different sections. Each product page will have a similar layout with a product picture and product description as read from the database. Pages must be designed in XML, be SEO and W3C validated. A single CSS file must control all pages.
The design of the front page must be stylish and show a definite contemporary International feel. Please see the attached detailed brief below for more details.
Budget for this project is $200 (U.S.)
