Hi, We are looking for a translator(s)/proofreader(s) German to UK English which we can use for multiple jobs. The assignments normally contain easy travel content which need to be translated from German into UK English. Normally we pay our freelancers for easy touristic content and based on experience a maximum of $ 16,- per 1000 words for translations and $ 10,- per 2500 words for proofreading (Assuming that the translated text is of good quality). If you are interested in this ongoing project, could you please let me know what your best rates are? And are you willing to do a small test translation? Please don't respond if you are not native UK and and don't respond if you are an agency! I hope to hear from you soon.

Hello, I will start by saying that I am not a native UK speaker BUT I have studied and lived in an English speaking country (Ireland). My English is very good and I have completed numerous German to English translations on this site with very good reviews. My rates are: 20$/1000 words for translations and $ 10,- per 1000 words for proofreading (if proofreading makes sense - if the translation is very bad and I have to do it again the first rate applies). Hi there, I am a native UK English speaker who grew up in German Australia (Barossa Valley SA). We spoke German at school and I have since taken an A Level in German and used it as part of my Linguistics degree. I have lived back in the UK since the 1980s when my family returned here. My minimum rates, looking at the guide in your project outline, would be $10 for 1000 words of translation and $6 for 2500 word proof reading. I have experience writing articles for tourist destinations and have done these in English, Spanish and German so I would be happy to do a German-English test translation for you.
