I am writing a YouTube video series. The series is based on my PhD research. It aims to share the findings of my research, which concerns technology and everyday life, in a user-friendly and engaging way. The series will be a mixture of me talking to camera and animation. The purpose of the animation is to illustrate certain points in an engaging, quirky way. There will be 7 or 8 videos of around 10 minutes each. The animations will be 2D and simple/minimalist in style. I have written the script for one of the videos, and would like to work with an animator to produce this as a pilot, with the intention of then completing the remaining 6 or 7. I would like to get started with the pilot ASAP. This is a self-funded project and as such cost is a key consideration. Depending on the success of the first video, it may, however, lead to considerable work for the animator. Please let me know if you'd like to know more, and I'll provide more details. It'd be good to get an idea of your pricing per minute first.
