Hello,

We have a small business office and I would like a system admin to remotely connect and help rename an active directory forest on a windows 2016 server, we named our forest using our real domain [login to view URL] now we run into trouble that all the remote services (real services, email website...etc) try to run locally since the domain dns is reserved.

Would appreciate a system admin to look also into the setup and advise on if we can do something better or not.

Please mind that, we run AD, DHCP, DNS on the same server. So, DNS entries need to be updated too.

It's not a good idea to rename an active directory domain. All your clients are going to lose trust to the domain. I would recommend we admt migrate to a new domain and move all the resources to a new domain contro More
