Read/open netcdf(.nc) formatted files from ftp server and store certain fields into C++ variables that can be processed to select boundaries. Fields will include velocities, longitude and latitude (e.g. lon: 301.28, lat:40.24) that need to be converted into utm coordinate system (e.g. (x,y)) using external library like GeographicLib. Details to be discussed. 2 days.
That'll be C++ and preferably under Microsoft Visual Studio environment. It'll need skills to communicate with (FTP) server and skills to use external libraries.
The output should be 2D arrays (local variables) of data inside the 'project' that I can easily use by accessing them. There should probably be a way(test program or similar) to verify the results of the arrays, as well. The data fields (arrays) can also be within a stand-alone class that I can access with my code, or csv files that can be read by the freelancer's program.
I have already named the external libraries to be used: netcdf-c & GeographicLib
