Job Description We are seeking a, freelance, RUBY ON RAILS SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER to join our team of master craftsmen that are building a highly scalable, highly available, next generation investment site for the financial industry.

Skills & Requirements As a RUBY ON RAILS SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER your project will include working on the latest open-source stack. You will be leading our front-end application development, gem and engine development and system-wide Ruby programming. We want you to develop your open source skill set and be able to deploy the best tool for the job. Ideally, you will have: Bachelor’s degree is preferred, in Computer Science or related discipline. 5+ years of experience designing and developing high volume, transactional, commercial web applications. 3+ years of building commercially available jRuby, Ruby, Ruby on Rails applications with real customers. Experience with Scala and Postgres. Experience with JavaScript, Sass/LESS, Homl and chef. What You Will Be Doing? I am looking for a technology partner who will be 100% responsible for the roadmap and development of the technology of our product. Our current version has been built using Ruby and is currently available in the final stages. The roadmap includes Android, IPad and a website application. This person would: • Build out the development team • Oversee the development team but also be hands on in coding as well. • Be responsible for making sure our technology is scalable with the highest quality standards.
