We have PiSignage Rasbian O/S running on some Pi 3 & 4 and Pi Zero W devices. The content is providing large format TVs with digital signage and we want to keep PiSignage because of the simple admin tool.
We want to upgrade the TVs with touch overlay and convert them to interactive kiosks in portrait orientation. We will fit the touchscreen overlay once we find a compatible system for the Raspberry Pi or replace with touch Monitors.
The Job
We have tested the Raspberry Pi's with Chromium in portrait mode and built a 2 page website to test this area of the project. We want the function to change the screen from PiSignage to Chromium Kiosk mode on sensing input to the Touchscreen. Touching the screen will start a timer and show Chromium rather than the PiSignage media player and after XX minutes on inactivity the PiSignage content will show.
We are thinking this is a very simple SHELL script but please advise if you disagree, hence the low project estimate. We are happy to run with your command list and to update our devices by SSH
Please provide a document containing a sequence of shell commands that we can initialise on each Rasperry Pi and assist with any issues during the install
